DYSMORPHIC An Illusive Progress
HotFrench tech death metallers Dysmorphic are back with the follow up to their ambitous 2013 debut 'A Nation Of Casuality', and you can immediately hear that they have taken a huge step forward on 'An Illusive Progress'. Dysmorphic's style is a mixture of intricate technical death metal and elements of more brutal death metal, but they aren't afraid to step off the accellerator every now and then to make room for more atmospheric parts. The musicianship of each individual member is simply amazing and they are pushing boundaies for sure when it comes to technicallity and complexity, but still they have managed to come up with 11 excellent songs with both melody, atmosphere and nerve. Thibault Bruneliere definitely sorts amongst the best vocalists within this genre and deserves huge credit for his contribution as well. Without sounding like a rip off of any of these bands parallels can easily be drawn to acts like Beyond Creation, Obscura, Deeds Of Flesh and Suffocation, so if you consider yourself a fan of either of those I'm sure you will enjoy 'An Illusive Progress' just as much as I do. Excellent Stuff!
