Finnish metal outfit Crimson Day have released the lyric video for their new single "Song of Fire," the latest track to be unveiled from their highly anticipated fourth album Dark Dimension, due out on May 22nd, 2026, through Wormholedeath.
With "Song of Fire," Crimson Day channels biblical apocalypse and existential dread, telling the story of a final day where promised salvation never arrives and the world is left to burn. The track is driven by their trademark fast-paced metal, blasting heavy riffs, memorable choruses, the inimitable and powerful voice of Milka Uusitalo, and the kind of relentless energy that has always set the band apart, delivering soaring melodic hooks and a darkly cinematic vision that is entirely their own.

The single joins "False Prophet" and "Hexed" as previews from Dark Dimension, painting a picture of an album that is ambitious, cohesive, and unafraid to push into darker thematic territory. Together, the three singles establish Dark Dimension as a fully realised statement from a band that has been quietly and steadily building toward this moment.

BIOGRAPHY/LOGO

Crimson Day is a Finnish heavy metal band from Tampere, formed in 2013 by bassist Jesse “Kämy” Kämäräinen. The band combines traditional heavy metal with melodic metal influences, creating a sound that balances powerful riffs, strong melodies, and energetic songwriting. Over the years, Crimson Day has also incorporated elements from hard rock and modern melodic metal, giving the band a versatile and dynamic style.
The group released its self-titled debut EP in 2013, followed by the full-length album Order of the Shadows in 2015 through the German label Iron Shield Records. Their second album, At the Mountains of Madness (2018), helped establish the band further within the European heavy metal scene and led to extensive live activity across Finland and neighboring countries.
In 2020, Crimson Day underwent a major lineup change when vocalist Milka Uusitalo joined the band, bringing a new dimension to their sound. With the renewed lineup, the band released singles such as “Raising the Fury” and “Black as the Heavens Above,” which introduced a heavier and more melodic direction. The band later gained additional attention through their metal interpretations of classic songs like Led Zeppelin’s “Immigrant Song” and Bonnie Tyler’s “Holding Out for a Hero.”
Crimson Day has performed nearly one hundred live shows, sharing stages with well-known Finnish and international metal acts including Sonata Arctica, Turisas, and Korpiklaani. Their music is characterized by strong hooks, dual-guitar melodies, and an epic heavy metal atmosphere rooted in classic European metal traditions.
