BLOOD RED THRONE Union Of Flesh And Machine

Norwegian death metallers Blood Red Throne returns with their eight studio album entitled 'Union Of Flesh And Machine' to follow up their 2013 self titled album. The receipe is more or less the same as always, straight forward, brutal death metal with blistering fast drums and hard riffing guitars as the driving force. Even though most of the material leaves you with a feeling of riding a runaway supersonic train at high speed these guys manage to incorporate just enough grove and melody at the right places to keep it interesting for the listener. When it comes to the vocals I have never been a fan of the harsh screaming kind that Blood Red Throne uses quite frequently alongside the growling vocals, but that is of course a matter of personal taste. Apart from that I can't find much more to add on the negative side. All eleven tracks are of solid quality and so is the production. If you like your death metal delivered the brutal way with surgical precision and a perfect blend of speed and groove then I'm sure 'Union Of Flesh And Machine' will answer all your questions.
