DAMNATION DEFACED Invader From Beyond

'Invader From Beyond' is a concept album and third full lenght offering from German based Damnation Defaced. As far as i recall I haven't heard any of their previous albums yet, but I'm sure I will check out both after having heard this one. Damnation Defaced is a death metal band, but not a traditional one since their style mixes elements from several of death metal's sub genres. The music is brutal without being brutal death metal, it's tecnical without being technical death metal and it's melodic without ending up as melodic death metal. This mixture works extremely well in this nice, organic Dan Swanö production, and all tracks are premium quality with no weak moments in sight. These guys are extremely skilled musicians, no doubt about that, but the really great thing about it is the fact that they manage to sound like one band and not a collection of show-off individuals. Frontman Philipp Bischoff is an excellent growler as well, and his deep death grunts suits the material just perfect. I can easily recommend 'Invader From Beyond' to all death metal fans out there....check it out, you won't regret it.
