SCAPHISM Unutterable Horrors

Boston based Scaphism are back to follow up their 2012 debut with a brand new effort entitled 'Unutterable Horrors'. Since then the band has been through several line-up changes, but now the new line-up has been completed and a deal has been inked with Horror Pain Gore Productions. Scaphism's music is basically riff based, old school death metal with a few hints of thrash. Straight forward, in-your-face death metal the US way if you like. I must admit that I wasn't to impressed at first, but after having heard 'Unutterable Horrors' a few times I really enjoy it. That's mostly due to a strong song material and it's refreshingly pure and honest energy. The production could have been better, but I guess it was intentionally done like this to maintain the old school expression. So if you like your death metal served the old fashion way with no bullshit chances are good that Scaphism will fit the bill.
