THE BURNING DOGMA No Shores Of Hope
HotWith their first official release Italian band The Burning Dogma offers something different to the death metal genre by incorporating elements of several different styles into their music. Keyboards are used to create a symphonic atmosphere while clean male and female vocal parts can be heard every now and then as a supplement to the death grunts. Some of the interlude sections contain electronic, industrial sounding effects, and even though I’m not a huge fan of that kind of stuff, I must admit it somehow serves its purpose in this case. Despite all this the bottom line of The Burning Dogma’s music is definitely death metal. Melodic death metal with a technical and symphonic edge actually sums it up quite well I guess. The song material is strong with a solid portion of variation and a quite good production. After having listened through ‘No Shores Of Hope’ I just feel like pressing the play button again, and that’s normally a very good sign. Recommended.
