DREAMER band

Extreme progressive metal group DREAMER has shared the first single off their upcoming debut full-length, Autogenesis.

"Regress" marks the album's first single, a track the band says shows every side Dreamer has to offer on Autogenesis.

"Epic melodic sections, huge emotional atmosphere, ripping fast technical moments, progressive tendencies, and a subdued clean break. It’s both structured and linear, evolving and morphing while always referencing back to itself. It blends both the extreme and progressive aspects of the band’s sound while never sacrificing either."

Following the band's 2021 instrumental demo, Autogenesis sees DREAMER's vision come to life with 9 epic tracks of melodic and boundary-pushing metallic wizardry.

Beyond the Top is set to release Autogenesis this fall on digital, CD and two vinyl variant editions on December 11.

DREAMER is an extreme progressive metal band in the tradition of Between the Buried and Me, Rivers of Nihil, Opeth, and Ne Obliviscaris, with a modern twist. The brainchild of guitarist/composer/producer Christopher Beattie, DREAMER expands on the forefront of metal by combining modern technicality with epic ambitions, an intricate balance of aggression, melody and grandiose ideas.

After Chris self-released the project's original demos in 2020 and 2021, the lineup came together with the addition of Josef Hossain-Kay on drums, Zachary Rivizzigno on second guitar, Ricky Alvarado on bass, and later, Kyle Chapman of Blighted Eye and Aethereus on vocals.

In 2022, Beattie joined the established death metal band The Zenith Passage, performing live internationally while contributing songwriting to their Metal Blade Records release Datalysium. During this time, DREAMER has been quietly putting together its debut album Autogenesis, its first official release while buzz around the project has grown.
