Greek power metallers POWERCROSS proudly announce their new and third overall full-length "Echoes Of Elysium / Part I", set for release on January 16th 2027 via Elevate Records.
The album's opening track "Sign of the Cross" has been premiered with a lyric video:
POWERCROSS was founded by two friends, Spiros Rizos and Chris Stergianidis, in December 2022 in Athens to create power metal with loads of riffs and guitar harmonies. As Chris left the band for personal reasons, Spiros took over the band leadership, crafting all compositions and orchestration as the sole guitar player. The first full-length ''The Lost Empire'' was released in 2024, followed one year later by the album ''Renaissance".
Now it's time for the third one "Echoes Of Elysium / Part I", featuring featuring powerful tracks, some of which are more mid-tempo. Thematically, "Echoes Of Elysium / Part I" depicts the thoughts of a psychotic individual who has created a world of his own. This world is portrayed across every track on the album, starting with "Sign of the Cross" and concluding with "Echoes of Time". The number "I" might indicate that there will also be a second part in the future. On vocals POWERCROSS present a new singer with the name Veandok, a semi-tenor with an amazing timbre.

BIOGRAPHY/LOGO

PowerCross is a Greek power metal band formed in Athens in December 2022 by guitarist Spiros Rizos and bassist Chris Stergianidis. The group was established with the ambition of combining powerful heavy metal riffs, melodic guitar harmonies and the energetic spirit of traditional European power metal.
Following Stergianidis' departure for personal reasons, Rizos assumed leadership of the band, becoming its principal songwriter, arranger and musical driving force. With vocalist John Britsas, bassist Vaggelis Kaliviotis and drummer Stelios Pepinidis completing the recording lineup, PowerCross released their debut full-length album, "The Lost Empire", through Elevate Records on October 17, 2024.
The album introduced the band's melodic yet powerful approach, blending traditional heavy metal influences with soaring melodies, intricate guitar arrangements and symphonic elements.
PowerCross returned on October 17, 2025, with their second studio album, "Renaissance", once again released through Elevate Records. The album further developed their musical identity, incorporating faster compositions, progressive influences and more prominent symphonic arrangements while maintaining their foundation in melodic European power metal.
In October 2026, PowerCross announced their third studio album, "Echoes of Elysium / Part I", scheduled for release on January 16, 2027, through Elevate Records. The eight-track concept album explores the thoughts of a psychologically disturbed individual who has constructed an imaginary world of his own. The release also introduces a new vocalist, Veandok, alongside guitarist Spiros Rizos, bassist Panos Boutidis and drummer Foivos Andriopoulos.
With three studio albums released or announced within a relatively short period, PowerCross continues to establish its presence in the Greek power metal scene, combining traditional heavy metal foundations with melodic, progressive and symphonic influences.
