THE CURSE MADE FLESH announce Sentence, the third single from their upcoming album To Each Their Hell, due out on October 30th, 2026 via Art Gates Records.
A verdict forged in hatred and carried through centuries, Sentence summons a reckoning from which there is no escape. Vengeance rises from the wounds of the past, condemning its target to a legacy of shame and eternal punishment. Against visions of consuming fire and gathering chaos, the final command falls like an executioner’s blade: “Hear your sentence now.”
Led by former Pestilence bassist Joost van der Graaf, the death metal formation features Fons van Dijk on drums, Javier Valdi on guitars and Morrison de Boer on vocals, with Joost handling bass duties. Written by Joost van der Graaf, Sentence opens another gate into the darkness of To Each Their Hell.

The Curse Made Flesh is a Dutch progressive death metal band formed in 2025 by bassist Joost van der Graaf, a veteran of the extreme metal scene known for his work with Pestilence, Sinister, Dew-Scented, Creepmime and I Chaos. Following his departure from Pestilence in 2024, van der Graaf began developing new material, eventually assembling a group of experienced musicians to bring his vision to life.
The band features Spanish guitarist Javier Valdi (Carceri), drummer Fons van Dijk (A Goat as Our Shepherd) and vocalist Morrison de Boer (Inferum). Together, the four musicians combine their diverse musical backgrounds to create an intense and progressive form of death metal, incorporating psychedelic elements, intricate arrangements and a dark, atmospheric approach.
Musically, The Curse Made Flesh explores the boundaries of traditional death metal, blending crushing riffs, technical musicianship and unpredictable compositions with philosophical and introspective themes. Their lyrics delve into the darker aspects of human existence, examining psychological struggles, inner conflicts and the complexities of the human mind.
In March 2026, the band announced a record deal with Art Gates Records, marking an important step in their development. Their debut full-length album, "To Each Their Hell", was recorded at Toneshed Recording Studio in the Netherlands during 2025, with Erwin Hermsen handling recording, mixing and mastering duties.
Scheduled for release on October 30, 2026, "To Each Their Hell" features eleven tracks showcasing the band's distinctive combination of aggression, technical precision and psychedelic atmosphere. Songs such as "Laughter" and "Cell Fate" offer an introduction to their uncompromising musical direction.
With a lineup built around decades of experience in the European extreme metal underground, The Curse Made Flesh represents a new chapter for its members, bringing together established musicians with a shared ambition to push death metal into darker and more adventurous territory.
