Singing in their native language VORNA combine all the great elements fans love from the bands up north.
The band’s Lifeforce Records debut is set for a fall 2019 release.

Vorna is a Finnish melancholic/melodic metal band from Tampere, Finland. The band first started as a melodic black/folk metal band in 2008, but later absorbed various influences from symphonic, atmospheric, and melodic metal - now delivering a dark and majestic performance sung in Finnish language.
Vorna released their debut full-length album ”Ajastaika” in 2013, which received lots of positive feedback both from Finnish and international media. In 2014, the band started touring for the first time after making a management and booking deal with Northern Solitude Entertainment. Vorna played several shows in Finland during autumn 2014, thus making first impressions on the domestic audience. In May 2015, Finnish metal media Kaaoszine listed Vorna among the TOP 10 most promising Finnish rock/metal bands.
In the autumn of 2015, Vorna had their signature beer ”Vorna – Taival” crafted and retailed by Panimo Hiisi. The beer was launched to the Finnish markets in October 2015 – simultaneously with the beginning of Vorna’s first European tours which included shows in Finland, Germany, the Netherlands, and Sweden.
The European tour ended with the release of Vorna’s second full-length album, ”Ei valo minua seuraa”, on December 2015. ”Ei valo minua seuraa” received astonishing reviews, praises and honourable mentions (”album of the week” in Imperiumi, for example) worldwide, both among the fans and the media. The album established Vorna’s status as a remarkable group in the international metal scene and opened many doors for the future.
At the beginning of 2016 Vorna joined Nem Agency, one of Finland's leading independent booking agencies and live promoters, and in August played their first festival show in SaariHelvetti (with such bands as Turmion Kätilöt, Shining etc). Next month, the band entered studio again and by the end of September a new single, ”Aalloista”, saw the light of day. The successful single release was followed by a Finnish tour with Whispered.
In January 2017 Vorna released another new single, ”Tie varjoista”, and toured Finland with Thyrfing and Kalmah as well as performed at JKL Metal Festival. The busy and glorious year 2017 now continues with another domestic tour in April and culminates at Vorna’s biggest show yet: Nummirock 2017 Metal Festival!
