The band had this to say about signing: "It is with no small amount of pride that we have aligned ourselves with Candlelight to continue our doom mission. To stand shoulder to shoulder with such a legion of incredible bands, and to count as our allies a team of such dedicated, hard-working people is a true honour, and we feel blessed to be part of their great work. The day of doom is at hand. Hail Candlelight! Hail doom!"
Smouldering away in the dark corners of metal since Black Sabbath birthed it with that immortal tritone, doom has lurked in the shadows for decades, waiting for the earth’s lost souls to find their solace in it. Following in the footsteps of Sabbath, Saint Vitus, Candlemass, Trouble, Cathedral, Reverend Bizarre and countless other greats who have carried the torch for this genre are Hampshire doom disciples Witchsorrow – a triumvirate for whom this music is a calling, an obsession.
Witchsorrow make their live return after six months of silence at Doom Over London on April 4
