ALIEN Eternity
HotThose out there who have lived a while might remember Swedish act Alien making an impact on the melodic hard rock scene in the late eighties/early nineties, but since then the band has more or less been surrounded by silence. In 2010 Alien re-united with the original line up and now they are back with a brand new album entitled 'Eternity'. The album consists of 12 great AOR/melodic rock anthems with really strong, catchy and atmospheric melodies based around the excellent voice of Jim Jidhed, the atmospheric keyboard arrangements of Jimmy Wandroph and of course Tony Borg's spicy guitar work. Alien is pretty much walking the same paths as bands such as Journey, Survivor and Magnum and qualityvice they're second to none of those acts. 'Eternity' is simply the best AOR/Melodic hard rock albums I've heard for years thanks to incredible strong songs and great musicanship. Welcome back Alien, let's just hope we won't have to wait another 26 years for another album with this line-up.
