'Transience' is the title of the new effort from German melodic death metallers All It's Grace. The debut album was released back in 2007, followed up by an EP in 2010, but now they are finally back with their second full length album. It seems like the eight year gap between the debut and this one has been well spent since 'Transience' shows a major step forward for the band. This is melodic death metal, obviously inspired by the early swedish scene and it's easy to draw parallels to bands like Dark Tranquillity and even early In Flames. The material is mainly straight forward melodic death metal with focus on melody, driven by blistering drums and rapid guitar riffs, spiced up with nice harmonies, some nice atmospheric keyboards in the background and a few parts of more technical character. The vocals are very typical for this genre and works very well in this setting. The production is very good and at last but not least; The song material is very strong. If you're into traditional (old school) melodic death metal, but feel like the big Swedish names within the genre have disappointed you and moved in the wrong direction, then All It's Grace may be the answer you're searching for.
