DAWN OF DISEASE Ascension Gate

'Ascension Gate' is the fourth full lenght album from German band Dawn Of Disease. Their melodic style of death metal is heavily inspired by the early Gothenburg scene and you can clearly hear certain parallels to bands like At The Gates, while the modern production also makes me think of Amon Amarth. Dawn Of Disease can hardly be accused of sounding original, but if you're a true fan of the genre I'm sure you will appreciate whats coming your way. The album consists of ten tracks of catchy and melodic death metal of solid quality with riffs based around fine guitar harmonies and deap growling vocals just the way I like it. The music varies from mid-tempo to more up-tempo stuff without beeing too brutal, and the production is excellent.
