DECREPIT BIRTH Axis Mundi

It´s been seven long years since the last studio album from Santa Cruz based tehcnical death metal outfit Decrepit Birth, but now the follow up to "Polarity" is finally here. "Axis Mundi" is pretty much following the same path as it´s predecessor with full speed ahead thechnical death metal as you would expect from these guys. Looking at the album track by track all songs are solid quality with tons of riffs and passages, outstanding mucicanship and lots of energy and atmosphere so in that respect everything is fine, but if there is one small subject of complaint about this album it has to be the lack of variation between the songs. It´s not a big deal to be honest, so don´t let that scare you from checking out "Axis Mundi". The deep growling vocal style of Bill Robinson suits the music perfectly, just the way I like it, and the guitar work of his fellow forming member Matt Sotelo is stunning. If you´re into the technical side of the death metal genre I´m sure you will find tons of pleaseure listening to "Axis Mundi"
