DEMONIC RESURRECTION Dahsavatar
HotEven though I've labelled this review of Indian Demonic Resurrection as death metal, I must add that it's actually not a very accurate description of the music presented on 'Dashavatar'. There are certainly huge elements of death metal in their style, but you can also hear elements of black metal in the vein of for instance Dimmu Borgir as well as symphonic and folk inspired elements. The vocal style of The Deamonstealer has this charismatic pagan sounding feel to it that really makes it stand out from the massess. Dashavatar is a relatively complex album with lots of variaton and details so it might take a while to really get into it, but once you do it's hard to let go. I'm not sure whether or not this is a concept album, but the song titles indicates that there are at least some kind of a red line through the lyrics. All songs are solid quality and the production is quite good as well. If you're fan of any of their previous four albums I'm sure this one will go straight home as well. A very strong addition to an already solid discography. Recommended.
