FLESHGOD APOCALYPSE Labyrinth

Italy’s main force within brutal extreme metal are back with their third studio album entitled ‘Labyrinth’. If you liked the brilliant ‘Agony’ album you will for sure enjoy this one as well since it’s basically more of the same with the exception that every boundary is pushed even further this time. One of the bands unmistakable trademarks is blistering fast drums and they play a dominant role in the sound this time as well. This can be really cool or it can be annoying depending on the mood you’re in. Personally I need to be in a certain mood to appreciate Fleshgod Apocalypse but once I enter that state of mind I really love what I hear. Behind the concrete wall of drums you’ll find huge detail richness in the symphonic orchestral and vocal arrangements. ‘Labyrinth’ is even more epic than its predecessor and it is more varied as well. The song material is very strong and the production is crystal clear. If you’re in for symphonic metal at its most extreme, this is the album for you.
