HIDEOUS DIVINITY Adveniens
HotHideous Divinity has been through several line-up changes since the start back in 2007 with Enrico Schettino (ex-Hour Of Penance) as the only remaining member from the original line-up. Their previous two albums were both quite good, but with their latest effort entitled 'Adveniens' Hideous Divinity proves that they really mean business and in my opinion this is by far their best effort to date. Their style is technical death metal with a brutal edge, combined with focus on melodies and good songs. I've often seen the band comparred to Nile, and I can to a certain degree agree in that. They may not share the Egyptian influences of Nile, and Hideous Divinity has a more technical approach to their music than their American companions, but apart from that I can certainly see the parallels. The album consists of nine tracks of very solid quality, wrapped into a rather clinical and compressed production that suit this kind of music really well.
