HOUR OF PENANCE Regicide

Italian technical death metaller's Hour Of Penance are back with their sixth studio album and I must admit that I was really excited about this one since these guys have released some great stuff before, like the death metal masterpiece 'The Vile Conception' from 2008 and 'Paradogma' from 2010. 'Regicide' is more or less following in the same footsteps as it's predecessors, which means brutal and technical but yet melodic death metal. Most of the material is really fast uptempo stuff, but in between there are also grooving and atmospheric parts to create the needed variation. Even though 'Regicide' doesn't quite reach the standard of 'The Vile Conception' it is still a very strong tecnical death metal album that's highly recommended to fans of the genre.
