MORS PRINCIPIUM EST Embers Of A Dying World
HotMors Principium Est released a couple of enjoyable albums in the early/mid 2000´s, but for some reason they haven´t received much of my attention in the later years. There´s been a few line-up changes over the years, like british guitarist Andy Gillion who joined the band in 2011 and he has since then been the main composer in the band. Despite this the musical direction of Mors Principium Est hasn´t changed that much, and it´s still melodic death metal the Gothenburg way on the menu. The electronic samples and effect has been more or less replaced by more symphonic keyboard arrangements which in my humble opinion is a good thing, and we also get a little bit of female vocals on a couple of tracks. The main strenght about Embers Of A Dying World though is the all over atmosphere that forces you to consume the album from start to end once you press the play button. All songs are solid quality wrapped into a very good production. If you like your melodic death metal served with a symphonic twist, then Embers Of A Dying World would be a safe bet.
