SYN:DROM Iconoclasm

Swedish death metallers SYN:DROM delived a very promising debut in their 2010 release ´With Flesh Unbound´, and now they are finally back with the anticipated follow-up album entitled ´Iconoclasm´. The new album consists of 10 tracks of furious and brutal death metal with lightning fast blast beats and angry guitars leading the way. Despite the brutality and the speed of the songs there are lots of intricate details and melodies to be heard in between. There are of course a few slower and heavier parst on the album as well providing the variation needed. Compared to ´With flesh unbound´the song material is significantly stronger this time around. The band have recorded, mixed and mastered the album all by themself, and with that taken into consideration I must say that the production is quite impressing. ´Iconoclasm´is death metal in it´s most brutal shape so be prepared to spend a little time with this album before the quality of the songs unfolds. Excellent stuff.
