Sweet Suicide is the new single from 200 STAB WOUNDS. The latest bruiser comes by way of the band's punishing Lowest Form full-length, set for release on February 19th, 2027 through Metal Blade Records.
Rooted in the same old-school brutality that has defined them from the beginning, Lowest Form delivers leaner arrangements, stronger dynamics and a broader sense of atmosphere without sacrificing an ounce of intensity. The riffs hit harder because they're given room to breathe, the pacing shifts naturally between explosive violence and simmering tension and every song carries its own distinct identity while serving the momentum of the record as a whole. The result is an album that feels unmistakably rooted in classic death metal while showcasing a band whose songwriting has reached a new level of focus and sophistication.
Sweet Suicide delivers one of the album's most devastating moments. The band comments, "This song is about anger, despair, confusion, and conquering your own demons. Whether it's your own, or trying to help someone get through theirs. This song is probably one of the heaviest on the record and discusses what is sometimes an even heavier topic. Enjoy at your own risk!"
200 STAB WOUNDS' Sweet Suicide video was produced by NOWHERE2RUN, the production company of Code Orange's Jami Morgan and Eric Balderose.

BIOGRAPHY/LOGO

200 Stab Wounds is an American death metal band formed in Cleveland, Ohio, in 2019. Combining the crushing brutality of old-school death metal with groove-heavy riffs, relentless drumming, and guttural vocals, the band has established itself as one of the prominent names in the modern American death metal scene.
Drawing inspiration from legendary acts such as Cannibal Corpse, Dying Fetus, and Mortician, 200 Stab Wounds developed a distinctive sound characterized by thick guitar tones, punishing breakdowns, and an uncompromising approach to extreme music. Their lyrics frequently explore themes of death, violence, bodily decay, and gruesome horror.
The band made its recording debut in April 2020 with the EP "Piles of Festering Decomposition", released through Maggot Stomp. The three-track release introduced their filthy, groove-driven death metal and quickly attracted attention within the underground scene.
Their first full-length album, "Slave to the Scalpel", arrived in November 2021 through Maggot Stomp. Featuring tracks such as "Skin Milk", "Tow Rope Around the Throat", and "Itty Bitty Pieces", the album further established the band's reputation for combining old-school brutality with memorable riffs and crushing rhythmic passages.
In 2022, 200 Stab Wounds signed with the renowned extreme metal label Metal Blade Records, marking an important milestone in their career. The partnership was accompanied by the release of the single "Masters of Morbidity", demonstrating the band's continued musical development.
Their second full-length album, "Manual Manic Procedures", was released on June 28, 2024, through Metal Blade Records. The record expanded upon their established formula with more intricate arrangements, powerful production, and an even greater emphasis on groove and technical precision. Songs such as "Hands of Eternity", "Gross Abuse", and "Ride the Flatline" showcased their increasingly confident songwriting.
Following further touring and lineup changes, the band announced its third studio album, "Lowest Form", scheduled for release on February 19, 2027, through Metal Blade Records.
The band's lineup consists of vocalist and guitarist Steve Buhl, guitarist Raymond MacDonald, bassist Todd Thompson, and drummer Owen Pooley.
With their relentless intensity, memorable songwriting, and dedication to the uncompromising spirit of death metal, 200 Stab Wounds continues to carry the genre's brutal traditions into a new generation.
