The 2nd single of the Russian Heavy Metal Band BLAZING RUST "Let It Slide" was released on The Orchard. The release date of the new album „Line Of Danger" on CD is July 24th, 2020 via PURE UNDERGROUND RECORDS.

Coming from St. Petersburg/Russia, BLAZING RUST are now releasing their second album "Line Of Danger" - after they already did the debut "Armed To Exist" in 2017 through PURE STEEL RECORDS.

Traditional Heavy Metal with a decent hard rocking edge, the guys have a carefree freshness that is second to none. Pure "New Wave Of Traditional Metal"; often more melodic, but sometimes more riff influenced - the quintet never loses the balance between talented songwriting skills and kicking ass. The influences of old legends such as I.M. and others can’t be denied, but BLAZING RUST always have their own trademark sound that will convince even a picky metal fanatic.

For fans of the even more younger Metal generation, a more than worthy piece of stainless steel!

BIOGRAPHY/LOGO

BLAZING RUST is a traditional heavy metal band that origins from St. Petersburg, Russia. Both the sound and music direction of the quintet are soaked with the spirit of 80s and classic unpolished metal!

The band was founded when Dovzhehko brothers, Dmitry and Roman, then drummer and guitar player of black metal band DRAMA, decided to shut the project down. Although their old-school death metal outfit PYRE, formed in 2011, has gained some success (and continues to), the brothers still had the thrill to explore some new musical territories. Late 2014 saw them teaming up with their former DRAMA bandmates Serg Ivanov (guitar) and Paul Torden (bass). The new project, subsequently called BLAZING RUST, was aimed to pay homage to the heavy metal gods, such as DIO, JUDAS PRIEST, BLACK SABBATH, DIAMOND HEAD, etc.

At the beginning of 2015, Igor Arbuzov, former guitar player of GRENOUER and current CIRCLE STORY mastermind, joined the band and completed the line-up. In May 2015, BLAZING RUST releases a debut cassette demo tape that sold out among the loyal headbangers fairly quickly. The same year, the band played several shows in Saint Petersburg and other Russian cities. In March 2016, the band took part in “The Ultimate Revenge of Heavy Metal Festival” held in Helsinki, Finland, sharing the stage with such legends of old school metal as WITCH CROSS, SAVAGE, OZ, SCANNER, etc. The rest of the year the band has been working on recording and mixing their first full-length, named "Armed to Exist". On the final stages of making the debut record, Eric Strom replaced Torden on the bass duties. However, the new member did not manage to participate in the recording, as the bass parts were already laid down by guitarist Roman Dovzhenko.

Released in August 2017 by PURE STEEL RECORDS, “Armed to Exist” has gained high critical acclaim by the press and was received well by the fans of traditional heavy metal. While the critics praised the band's creativity within such a well-established genre and Igor's vocal abilities, the fans enjoyed the unexpected trip to the 80s, holding the CD that sounded and looked like in the old days. These facts put BLAZING RUST among the full-fledged members of the NWOTHM movement.

Fast forward to the year 2020... BLAZING RUST is still on top of the game. The same line-up, minus Eric Strom, finishes its second effort called “Line of Danger”. Dmitry Pronin, most known for his work with Russian metal legend Valery Gaina (KRUIZ) and REDS'COOL, stepped in to record the bass lines. Set for release in July 2020, “Line of Danger” continues the band's collaboration with PURE STEEL and delivers even more energy, power, melody, and brilliance that all the 80s metal had. Get ready for the 8-track journey back to the time when the stages, hair, and reverbs were BIG!
