After launching the first part of the new album's title track a while ago, Norway's COMMUNIC now deliver 'Where Echoes Gather Pt. 2 - The Underground Swine', which picks up where Part 1 ended.
The album 'Where Echoes Gather' will be released on October 27th.
'When you listen to the album, there will be no gap or pause between the two tracks, as it will flow as one long song', COMMUNIC's Oddleif Stensland explains.
The vocalist/guitarist continues:
'The topic of the song was inspired by a visit to an Eastern Europe City some years ago. In this city, a giant of a city, the stressful hectic life, people off to work, blindly following as sheep, while in the underground sewers and pipes there was a communion of orphan children, and youngsters, living in the absence of 'street' awareness, sniffing glue to escape from reality. At night they come out, treading the shadows of the streets, looking for the next fix. We fail to lift the head away from our own 'problems' neglecting what’s going on around us. With a government and media system that also fails to fix the problem, more interested in social likes or in telling the truth!. So this is where I got the inspiration to this song. Some of these children where in the same age as my own children, who I as a parent want to grow up in a safe home environment with friends and family who cares, made me even closer to the brutality, and made me see the harsh reality of life with different eyes.'
Critical acclaim follows COMMUNIC since day one and a devoted worldwide fan base is hotly anticipating the release of the first COMMUNIC album since six years. With 'Where Echoes Gather', the band impressively confirms and underlines its exceptional status.
COMMUNIC’s first album for AFM is nothing short of another dark and atmospheric masterpiece, created by the very same three guys who founded the band back then. COMMUNIC’s characteristic mixture of prog, power and thrash sounds as fresh and relevant as ever and will amaze the band’s countless fans to the fullest.

BIOGRAPHY
If you like progressiv metal, there is no way without COMMUNIC.
The music of the exceptional band from Norway includes many elements from various metal genres. Their grasp for variety of power, melody, and intelligent lyrics with a highly progressive musical approach made COMMUNIC one of the best newcomers for years!
The Norwegian metalers are now back with “The Bottom Deep” which is simply breath-taking! Every time you listen to the album, the more you notice the complexity, and the more you appreciate the increased and well crafted heaviness of it!
“I think the heaviness of these songs will surprise many of you, and the overall feeling of it, is way darker this time. The songs are shorter, more in your face and may seem straight forward at first, but there are many twists and turns that will just creep under your skin. This album is DEEP!” - Oddleif.
In the beginning of February 2011, Oddleif, Erik and Tor Atle entered the Studios again to start the recordings to “The Bottom Deep”. Close to an hour long, each of the this nine songs will convince every fan and sceptic out there with a blend of harmony, power, complex structures and time changes. Oddleif’s vocals cover a wide range and always match the song. Great screams echo in the distance, as cymbals sparkle and emphasize atmosphere. The bass underlying the guitar keeps the tracks intact while rendering it with the groovy vibe of the drums. In other words, it seems pretty clear that “The Bottom Deep” will appeal to fans of such classic bands as SANCTUARY / NEVERMORE, CANDLEMASS and even the more modern metal acts such as IN FLAMES as this is the perfect hybrid that will appeal to fans of both power and prog metal! Catchy vocal melodies, thrilling bass and guitar lines are colliding with power, thrash, progressive and even of doom and groovy metal!
Founded in March 2003 by guitarist/vocalist Oddleif Stensland and drummer Tor Atle Andersen, (both ex-SCARIOT), who later joined forces with bass player Erik Mortensen. COMMUNIC started out as a side project, and in January 2004, the band recorded a three-track demo which they distributed as a limited editition version (100 copies). After receiving some serious recognition including being "demo of the month" in Rock Hard Germany, and a track on the ‚Heavy oder was?!‘ magazine sampler, the band signed a long-term record deal with leading German metal label NUCLEAR BLAST for several albums. In September 2004, COMMUNIC spent three weeks in Denmark with producer Jacob Hansen to record their debut album "Conspiracy In Mind", which was released on February 21st 2005.
After this their march of victory continued by releasing “Waves Of Visual Decay” (2006) and “Payment Of Existence” (2008). Both releases got best marks in several soundchecks and album of the month titles. Times must have changed really dramatically if this success would not also happen “The Bottom Deep”.
With COMMUNIC the worldwide Metal scene has a exciting and promising name to remember! These guys are a talent that doesn't come along too often… maybe only once in a lifetime!!
Crank up your stereo’s , blast your ears, get ready for a new COMMUNIC masterpiece! Get ready to enter the deep..
