Listen to the full album below:
With “Exanimis”, CONSECRATION deliver their most focused and commanding work to date, further refining the dark and emotionally crushing sound that has defined the band throughout the years. Deeply rooted in the legacy of the British death-doom tradition while embracing a sharper and heavier modern approach, the album seamlessly blends oppressive atmospheres, mournful melodies and massive riff-driven weight.
"Exanimis" is dark, decadent and at times mercilessly biting, balancing melancholic atmospheres with raw intensity. The record demonstrates the band’s relentless drive to expand their own sound, asserting CONSECRATION as a commanding presence in the modern extreme metal scene and setting a new benchmark for their evolving career.

Consecration is a British doom/death metal band formed in Norwich, England in 2007. The band emerged from the UK underground metal scene with a sound deeply rooted in the classic early 1990s death/doom tradition, drawing inspiration from bands such as My Dying Bride, Anathema, and Paradise Lost. Their music combines crushing doom riffs, melancholic atmospheres, haunting melodies, and a blend of death growls and mournful clean vocals.
After releasing the Gut the Priest EP in 2010 and the Echoes of the Dead demo in 2013, Consecration gradually built a strong reputation within the underground doom/death scene. Their debut full-length album, Ephemerality (2014), showcased the band’s ability to balance sorrowful melodies with oppressive heaviness, earning praise from fans of traditional British doom metal.
The band continued to evolve with the release of Fragilium in 2019, an album noted for its emotional depth, atmospheric songwriting, and mature production. In 2022, Consecration released Cinis, further refining their dark and melancholic approach while maintaining the crushing weight of classic death/doom metal.
