Helsinki’s death/doom/industrial metal unit DARK KOMET is proud to announce that their new EP “Ghost Of Silver Light” has been released May 1st.
The second single from the release, “Only Frozen Reality,” is launched alongside the EP with a music video, which you can watch below:

The EP draws its themes from cosmic nihilism: time, meaninglessness, and life as a phenomenon without purpose on a universal scale. “Ghost Of Silver Light” builds a cold and alienating soundscape where crushing riffs and industrial beats merge into a hypnotic whole. DARK KOMET offers no comfort - only a glimpse into a reality where meaning is an illusion and existence itself is a contradiction.

BIOGRAPHY/LOGO
Dark Komet is a Finnish industrial/doom metal act from Helsinki, known for its cold, cosmic sound and heavy, hypnotic atmosphere. Blending crushing doom riffs with mechanical industrial elements, the band explores themes of cosmic nihilism and existential decay.
Originally formed as a one-man project by KB3 (vocals, instruments, production), Dark Komet later expanded with contributions from Gmorq (bass, backing vocals) and Spägä Jeesus (guitar).
Since 2024, the band has released several EPs, including Impact Event and Ghost Of Silver Light (2026), the latter showcasing a more refined and immersive sound.
Dark Komet remains an independent act, steadily gaining traction in the underground with its distinctive fusion of industrial precision and doom-laden heaviness.
