Swedish thrash metal band Dead Sleep have officially released their new EP, Repulsion, alongside a brand-new music video for "Leech from Čachtice", the final chapter in the band's recent string of singles. Watch the video here:
”Leech from Čachtice is a mix between early hard rock riffs from the likes of Accept and Ozzy Osbourne, mixed with filthy Death metal elements. It is stripped down, relentless old school speed and Thrash metal in the best classic traditions. The text is an imagined viewpoint of Elizabeth Bathory. What was the driving force behind the terror she inflicted? We can only speculate. In the end, the name Bathory just becomes a synonym for the reductive concept ”evil”!”
Following the previously released singles "Children of the Blade":
"Repulsion":
And "Bring Me the Head"

Tracklist:
1. Repulsion
2. Hell Hath No Fury
3. Children of the Blade
4. Leech from Čachtice
5. Bring Me the Head
The complete EP is now available on all major streaming platforms.
Formed in Malmö, Dead Sleep have always done things their own way - blending punk energy, old-school thrash, and a refusal to fully belong to any one scene. Loud, raw, and unapologetic, they continue to build their identity on instinct rather than rules.

BIOGRAPHY/LOGO

Dead Sleep is a Swedish metal band from Malmö, formed in 2016. Blending elements of old-school thrash metal, speed metal, punk, and crossover, the band delivers an aggressive and raw sound inspired by classic acts such as Slayer, Venom, and Sodom. Their music is characterized by razor-sharp riffs, ferocious drumming, and hostile, high-energy vocals, combining the intensity of extreme metal with the rebellious spirit of hardcore punk.
Dead Sleep made their first impact in the underground scene with the self-titled EP Dead Sleep in 2016, followed by the singles Bring the Knife and Aleppo, which showcased the band’s raw production and uncompromising songwriting. These early releases helped establish them as a promising force in Sweden’s underground metal circuit.
In 2018, the band released their debut full-length album, In the Belly of the Beast, expanding on their aggressive formula with more developed songwriting while retaining their savage edge. The album delivered a relentless barrage of riffs and politically charged themes, reflecting both social unrest and personal darkness.
Dead Sleep continued to release new material through standalone singles such as Wages of War, Naked Tyrant, and later Repulsion, maintaining their reputation for intense, no-frills metal rooted in the old-school tradition. With their fierce sound and uncompromising attitude, Dead Sleep remains a notable name in the modern Swedish underground metal scene.
