Hailing from Bogotá in Colombia, Decarabion have been weaving their tales of gods and monsters since 2018. Their battering debut album, Bastard Son Of Divinity, was unleashed in an explosion of violence in 2020 and was followed by the Hidden In Delirium, Reality Revealed EP in 2023. Since then the brutal death metal underground has waited with bated breath for the next mind mangling release from Decarabion, with last year's single, 'Procedures To Metaphysical Annihilation' serving to twist the anticipatory knife deeper. Now the wait is over - Decarabion have returned and the madness is even more terrifying than anyone could have imagined. Desacralization is here!

 

 

When Desacralization announces its malign presence with 'Aborted Pact Between Heaven And Men' the immersion in absolute chaos is immediate - an onslaught of deranged savagery is unleashed from the first second. Blast beats that threaten to splinter the cranium, furious guitars performing light speed disfiguring surgery and a voice that you feel like a violent excavation of your chest cavity. But there's thought here too…cunning structure and deft, dextrous performances, moments that reach out of the blood tsunami and catch in the memory with carefully crafted, viciously barbed hooks. The initial shock of impact never fades but as you learn to accept your new reality, more and more intricacies and wicked twists become apparent, the madness revealing form. As 'Divine Cleanse Of Every Trace Of Humanity On Earth' hits, you're still on a white-knuckle ride to hell, but it's designed and delivered with a grotesque beauty. When 'Path To Acceleration Of Global Entropy' is in full flight, 'breathless' doesn't even come close to describing the velocity. With brilliant bass work complementing the vicious guitars, together sculpting staggering monuments of horror, delight and repulsion are served in equal measure - like marvelling at a complex weaving of infant entrails. The sheer physicality of Decarabion's fearsome art, its absolute intensity, is almost cleansing - wiping away all thoughts and cares in a wave of obliteration. From the aptly named 'Suffering The Relentless Fist Of A Revengeful Divinity', beats falling like the blows of God, to the spellbinding display of magnificent brutality that is 'Sublime Seduction Of The Seven Headed Beast', Decarabion have created a masterclass in musical extremity.
