Intercontinental Brutal Death Metal force Emasculator sign to Relapse Records & have begun working on their debut full-length album!

EMASCULATOR will enter the studio this Winter with a to-be-announced 2027 release date.

Formed in 2021, EMASCULATOR is an intercontinental supergroup from the United States and the Czech Republic. Following the critical success of their self-released 2022 promo, Depraved Disfigurement, the band signed with New Standard Elite to release their debut EP, The Disfigured and the Divine, in September 2024.

EMASCULATOR has established a strong international presence, performing at premier festivals including Maryland Deathfest, Obscene Extreme, and Rock the Hell, alongside a successful 2025 European tour. EMASCULATOR has shared the stage with bands such as Dying Fetus, Wormrot, Kreator, Pig Destroyer, Grave, and Severe Torture.

Following the May 2026 release of their demo “Thaumaturgic Resurrection”, the band recently performed at Australia’s renowned Dark Mofo festival for Hymns To The Dead.

Formed in 2021, Emasculator is an international brutal death metal band with members based in the United States and the Czech Republic. Combining relentless brutality with technical precision and a distinctive thematic identity, the band has quickly established itself as one of the most promising new names in modern brutal death metal. The group's lyrical focus draws heavily from Hindu mythology, divine feminine power, revenge, and resistance against oppression, offering a refreshing contrast to many of the genre's more conventional themes.

The band was founded by vocalist Mallika Sundaramurthy, known for her work with Abnormality, Castrator and Nidorous, alongside guitarists Teresa Wallace (Flory) and Morgehenna. Their debut two-track release, Depraved Disfigurement (2022), immediately attracted attention within the underground brutal death metal scene thanks to its crushing riffs, devastating vocal performance, and uncompromising songwriting. The release earned the band a recording contract with respected brutal death metal label New Standard Elite.

In 2024, Emasculator expanded its lineup with drummer Cierra White and released its debut EP, The Disfigured and the Divine. The record showcased a more refined and technically accomplished sound while maintaining the band's trademark ferocity. Songs such as Eradication of the Asuras and The Unassailable further emphasized the band's fascination with mythological narratives, powerful female figures, and devastatingly heavy compositions. The EP also featured several guest musicians, adding further depth to the release.

Musically, Emasculator blends slamming brutality, technical death metal, and deathgrind influences into an aggressive yet highly disciplined sound. Their music is characterized by crushing breakdowns, razor-sharp riffing, intricate guitar work, relentless blast beats, and Mallika Sundaramurthy's commanding guttural vocals. While uncompromisingly brutal, the band's compositions display an impressive sense of structure and atmosphere that distinguishes them from many of their contemporaries.

Despite being geographically separated, the members have successfully built a cohesive creative partnership, performing at notable extreme metal festivals and continuing to expand their international presence. With their uncompromising musical vision, distinctive lyrical identity, and rapidly growing reputation within the underground scene, Emasculator has firmly established itself as one of the most exciting new acts in contemporary brutal death metal.
