Italian progressive death metal stalwarts FATE UNBURIED return today with a brand new single, “Deep Rest”. The track is included in their upcoming album “Neraspeme”, set for release on October 16th, 2026 via Time To Kill Records.
The band commented:
"'Deep Rest' reflects a moment of isolation taken to confront everything built for the outside world rather than for oneself. The track moves through the weight of expectations, criticism, and the constant attempt to become someone shaped by other people’s needs instead of personal truth. What first feels like collapse slowly reveals itself as a necessary interruption, a moment of disconnection to strip away external pressure and rediscover identity beneath it. Destruction and renewal coexist, turning exhaustion into the possibility of becoming something real again".

“Neraspeme" is a sonic journey into the core of a relationship in decay. A 12-track concept album, each song is designed to unsettle, surprise, and relentlessly pull the listener forward, never allowing a moment of rest.
The album is defined by sharp, powerful riffs that are often unexpectedly catchy, lodging themselves in the listener’s mind while retaining a fierce, unyielding aggression. The band skillfully weaves in progressive elements through sudden tempo shifts, intricate instrumental passages, and moments of eerily suspended atmosphere, balanced by sections driven by a strong, groove-oriented drum performance.
On a thematic level, “Neraspeme" traces the full emotional cycle of a relationship approaching its end. The tracks unfold like chapters of an inner collapse, moving from blinding anger to disoriented madness, and finally to the album’s title concept: a warped, dark form of hope that offers no redemption and ultimately dissolves like a mirage.

BIOGRAPHY/LOGO

Fate Unburied is an Italian progressive death metal band formed in Vicenza, Italy, known for blending crushing heaviness with technical precision and atmospheric depth. Since their formation, the band has developed a distinctive sound that combines progressive death metal, groove-oriented riffing, dissonant textures, and modern extreme metal influences.
The band first emerged in the early 2010s with releases such as Arise (2012) and the EP Dehumanized Society (2012), quickly establishing themselves within the Italian underground metal scene. Their early material showcased aggressive riff work, complex rhythmic structures, and a strong focus on dynamic songwriting.
In 2017, Fate Unburied released their debut full-length album, Logos, which marked a major step forward in their evolution. The album highlighted the band’s ability to merge technical musicianship with emotionally intense compositions, drawing attention from fans of forward-thinking death metal.
During the following years, the band continued refining their sound through a series of demos and singles, including A Pale Color Perception releases and standalone tracks that expanded their sonic palette with darker atmospheres and increasingly intricate arrangements.
By the mid-2020s, Fate Unburied had further pushed their musical boundaries, incorporating more experimental structures and layered textures into their songwriting. Their second full-length album, Neraspeme (2026), represents the band’s most ambitious work to date, showcasing a mature and highly developed fusion of brutality, technicality, and progressive exploration.
Fate Unburied stands out in the modern extreme metal landscape for their ability to balance raw aggression, technical sophistication, and emotional depth, earning them recognition as one of Italy’s more compelling progressive death metal acts.
