Feelingless is a Spanish melodic death metal / metalcore project founded in 2020 by guitarist Hugo Markaida, best known for his work with the band Rise to Fall. Created during the pandemic, Feelingless emerged as a deeply personal and socially conscious project with a clear mission: to raise awareness about animal cruelty and support animal rights through music.
Unlike a traditional band, Feelingless operates as an all-star collaborative project, bringing together numerous renowned musicians from the international metal scene. Hugo Markaida assembled an impressive lineup of guest performers, including Björn Strid, Christian Älvestam, Daniel Heiman, Rachel Aspe, and several others, each contributing their unique style to the project’s sound.
Musically, Feelingless blends melodic death metal, metalcore, and modern extreme metal elements, combining aggressive riffing, soaring melodies, and emotionally charged songwriting. The lyrical themes focus heavily on the suffering caused by animal abuse, industrial farming, abandonment, and violence against animals, making the music both powerful and meaningful.
In 2022, Feelingless released its debut album, Metal Against Animal Cruelty, via Noble Demon Records. The album received attention for both its musical quality and humanitarian message, with proceeds supporting animal shelters and welfare organizations.
