Game Over has released a video for “Break Away”, first single taken from the new album “When Darkness Falls” to be released on September 18 by Scarlet Records.
A furious thrash assault aimed at warmongers, corrupt politicians, and anyone trying to sell obedience as virtue. Packed with razor-sharp riffs, punk attitude, and relentless energy, the track is a call to question authority, reject propaganda, and think for yourself. Formed in Ferrara, Italy, in 2008, Game Over has established itself as one of the leading names in the modern European thrash metal scene. Drawing inspiration from the relentless energy of the Bay Area movement and the aggression of classic German thrash, the band delivers a high-speed blend of razor-sharp riffs, infectious hooks, and powerful songwriting while maintaining a sound that feels both nostalgic and contemporary.
Game Over quickly gained attention in the underground with the release of their early demo and EP, earning a reputation for explosive live performances and a genuine passion for old-school thrash metal. Their debut full-length, For Humanity (2012), showcased the band's raw intensity and set the foundation for a series of increasingly refined releases. With Burst Into the Quiet (2014), Crimes Against Reality (2016), and Claiming Supremacy (2017), the band expanded its audience through relentless touring and consistently strong songwriting.
Following several years of international touring, Game Over returned with Hellframes (2023), an album that marked a more mature and dynamic approach while retaining the speed and aggression that defined their earlier work. In 2025, the band released Face The End, further demonstrating their evolution through tighter musicianship, memorable choruses, and a balanced mix of classic thrash influences and modern production.
Over the years, Game Over has toured extensively across Europe, North America, Asia, and South America, sharing the stage with renowned acts such as Megadeth, Testament, Exodus, Overkill, Destruction, Sodom, Nuclear Assault, and many others.
