The Finnish Death metal band Hautajaisyö released their fifth album 'Surun paino' on March 20th 2026 via Inverse Records. The band has now decided to release an official live music video, which includes their new live show intro.

"We've decided to give you one more treat from our latest album, Surun Paino. Here's the video for the title track! We haven't made an official live show music video before, but when we had an album release show in our hometown, we thought it was the right time. Filmed on 27 March at the Iisalmi Youth Centre, it continues the DIY approach of our other videos. It was filmed using three GoPro cameras and one moving camera. The video starts with our new live show intro, created by Sami Lustig."

BIOGRAPHY/LOGO
Hautajaisyö is a Finnish death/thrash metal band formed in 2014 in Iisalmi, Pohjois-Savo. The band emerged from the ashes of an earlier project called Redeye, which had been active since 2006 before evolving into a darker and more mature musical direction.
The name Hautajaisyö translates to “funeral night,” reflecting the band’s bleak lyrical themes, which revolve around death, melancholy, despair, and human suffering.
Musically, the band combines aggressive death metal with thrash elements, occasionally incorporating touches of black metal. Their sound is characterized by fast, riff-driven compositions, relentless drumming, and harsh growled vocals, balanced with a sense of atmosphere and structure.
Since their formation, Hautajaisyö has maintained a steady output of releases and built a reputation within the Finnish underground metal scene. Known for their uncompromising style and consistent production, the band has released multiple full-length albums through Inverse Records and continues to evolve while staying rooted in old-school extreme metal traditions.
