| Written by Edvardsen | Hits: 284
INTENSE has released a new lyric video for the song "Head Above Water". That song is on the album "Songs Of A Broken Future", which will be released on March 27th, 2020 via PURE STEEL RECORDS. The pre-order phase will start on March 13th, 2020 in Pure Steel Webshop.
Intense hail from the UK and released their first EP back in 1997, it’s been nine years since their last release but at long last, the new album is ready to be unleashed on the Metal world.
Vocalist Sean Hetherington and Guitarist Nick Palmer are founding members but the current line up has been together since 2004. The listener might think at first contact that INTENSE would be another one of these countless formations that play in the style of the unbreakable NWOBHM. The blood of SAXON, DEMON and all the legends is of course in their blood, but INTENSE are more influenced by the darker side of power metal like ICED EARTH and NEVERMORE among others.
The fourth work of INTENSE represents a fresh cell treatment for British Heavy Metal, Power Metal with sense and reason which is rock sold on the achievements of its own history.

BIOGRAPHY
Intense hail from the UK and are influenced by the Darker side of Power Metal/Heavy Metal.
The band started as a group of friends, jamming when founder members Sean Hetherington (Vocals) and Nick Palmer (Guitar) first joined forces.
Things got serious with the release of the bands EP ‘Dark Season’ which was released on Hetherington’s own label Full Volume. The label got listed as a supplier to HMV which saw it placed in over 20 of the bigger stores in the UK ...the Ep also gained distribution in South America and Japan as well as through Europe.
2004 saw the band get their first deal with Underground Symphony in Italy and the album ‘Second Sight’ was released, Festival appearances in the UK (Bloodstock and 13th Day) came in support of the album. This was also the year that Stephen Brine joined the band on bass to complete the current Line Up.
2007 Saw Intense sign to Napalm Records (Austria) and release the album ‘As Our Army Grows’, in support of the album Intense played both the UK and Europe, highlights being DOA, Metal Bash and Headbangers Open Air. The band shot a video for Fear is Not Enough which was very well received and currently has over 60,000 views on Youtube.
2011 saw Intense begin their relationship with current label Pure Legend (Pure Steel) and the release of ‘Shape of Rage’ ‘Save Me from Myself’ was the video from this release and again is on Youtube.
9 Years have passed since the last release and finally 2020 will see the release of their 4th album “Songs of a Broken Future” once again this will be released on Pure Steel Records. The band once again worked with Karl Groom (Threshold) who has produced all of the band’s albums. The band are looking forward to supporting the album with both UK and European dates and are itching to get back on the road.
