The sheer quality of Toxic Noxious Undeath is established right at the start, with formidable opening track 'Graveyard Dreams And Bonehouse Screams'. With a classic vocal performance from Massacre's Kam Lee this song delivers everything you could wish for in a mortuary slab of decaying death metal - speed, power, adrenaline, atmosphere and riffs to die for. The riffs that Rogga has summoned up for this album are just staggering, from the ferocious rotten death of 'Exploding Casket Syndrome', featuring Vomitory's Erik Rundqvist, to the majestic flood of gore and decay that is 'Heading For The Furnace' with Max Otera of Mercyless behind the mic, the outstanding riffs just keep coming. Of course quality riffs aren't enough to make an album great on their own, but the song writing, the sense of all consuming dread and horror, the inspired vocal performances, the brilliant work from the rhythm section and the attention to detail in every song…together these elements lift Toxic Noxious Undeath to the level of death metal greatness. After so many years immersed in the shadowed catacombs of the genre he loves, to still be producing some of his very finest work is an incredible testament to the talent, devotion, ability and ongoing creativity of Rogga Johansson. No fan of true death metal can afford to miss this gut-ripping return from the mighty Megascavenger!
