With their sophomore album entitled "Internal Inferno", scheduled for September 25th 2026 via War Anthem Records, German black metallers NAIL BY NAIL make a powerful statement - uncompromising, emotionally charged, and showcasing a level of artistic maturity that leaves no doubt the band is carving out its own distinctive path.
While the debut laid the foundation, this new full-length expands the band's vision with even greater intensity. The songs are more aggressive yet more majestic than ever before, blending the relentless ferocity of black metal with sweeping, epic soundscapes and a dynamic range that is as unpredictable as it is captivating. Razor-sharp riffs, thunderous blast beats, and haunting melodies give rise to moments of devastating force as well as striking emotional depth.

Nail by Nail is a German black metal band from Karlsruhe, Baden-Württemberg, founded in September 2023 by guitarist Tobias R. (Imperium Dekadenz, ex-Demorphed) and vocalist Philipp H. (ex-Pighead, ex-Kraanium live). Initially conceived as a studio project, the duo quickly realized that their dark and aggressive musical vision deserved to become a full-fledged band. After completing the first two songs, they expanded the lineup with guitarist Lars H., bassist Emmanuel B., and drummer Noel A., forming a quintet of experienced musicians from the German extreme metal scene.
Blending ferocious black metal with elements of death metal, Nail by Nail delivers a sound driven by relentless blast beats, razor-sharp riffing, and an atmosphere of darkness, melancholy, and raw aggression. While rooted in modern black metal, the band's music balances intensity with memorable songwriting, creating compositions that are both violent and emotionally charged.
In May 2025, Nail by Nail released their debut full-length album, Embraced by Darkness, through War Anthem Records. The album introduced the band to the wider underground metal community and earned positive reviews for its seamless fusion of black and death metal, as well as its powerful performances and dark, immersive atmosphere.
Despite being a relatively new act, Nail by Nail has rapidly established itself as one of Germany's most promising emerging black metal bands. With a lineup of seasoned musicians and a strong debut album, the band has laid a solid foundation for continued growth within the European extreme metal scene.
