Rockshots Records is proud to announce the release of the first two full-length albums, "The Iron Curtain" and "Behold A Pale Horse" of the California thrash metal band Parabellum.
The announcement marks a new chapter for the young American thrash metal force, bringing two already released titles to a wider international audience. "The Iron Curtain", originally published in 2024, returns as a reissue while "Behold A Pale Horse", released in 2025, represents the band’s latest full-length album. Together, the albums document Parabellum’s rapid evolution from raw, politically driven thrash into a darker, heavier and more ambitious modern metal statement.
Formed in 2021 in Lincoln, California while its members were still in high school, Parabellum quickly made waves with a blistering sound that channels classic thrash aggression with a fresh, youthful urgency. The band’s lineup features Emre Aube on lead vocals and rhythm guitar, Davy Galileo on lead guitar and vocals, Kyle O’Connor on bass and Jacey Knecht on drums. Originally released in 2024, "The Iron Curtain" stands as Parabellum’s explosive debut statement: a fast and uncompromising album centered on control, propaganda, division, apathy and resistance.
“The Iron Curtain is our response to a world on edge—divided, surveilled and stripped of its humanity,” the band states. “This album was born out of frustration with the systems that profit off fear, control and conflict. Each song is a bullet aimed at apathy, conformity and silence.”
Originally released in 2025, "Behold A Pale Horse" marks a decisive evolution in Parabellum’s songwriting and conceptual scope. Inspired by imagery from the Book of Revelation, the album explores collapse, judgment, moral decay, spiritual conflict, war and the cost of looking away. Where "The Iron Curtain" served as an awakening, "Behold A Pale Horse" represents the aftermath: a full-scale reckoning delivered through intense, emotional and unrelenting thrash metal.
“Behold A Pale Horse is darker, heavier and more apocalyptic than anything we’ve done before,” says Parabellum. “Where The Iron Curtain was about waking people up, this record is about what comes after—the collapse, the reckoning, the cost of looking away. If The Iron Curtain was the spark, this is the inferno.”
Both albums were recorded at Audio Edge Recordings in Sacramento, California, and produced, mixed and mastered by Tom Jimenez with cover art by Ken Knecht. Across the two records, Parabellum deliver a sound forged from the influence of Metallica, Sepultura, Exodus, Slayer and Testament as well as the classic Bay Area thrash metal sound while asserting a voice defined by conviction, precision and high-voltage energy.
Parabellum’s rise has already earned praise from musicians, magazines and metal tastemakers with the band being described as young, fresh, energetic and fiercely committed to the roots of thrash metal.
Their music brings together razor-sharp riffs, lyrical depth and the live intensity of a band that plays every show like a battle. For fans of modern thrash metal, "The Iron Curtain" and "Behold A Pale Horse" confirm Parabellum as a band determined not only to keep the genre alive but to push it forward.
"The Iron Curtain" and "Behold A Pale Horse" are available through Rockshots Records for official pressing and distribution.

BIOGRAPHY/LOGO

Parabellum is an American thrash metal band from Northern California, formed in 2021. Drawing heavy inspiration from the golden era of 1980s thrash metal, the band combines the aggression and speed of classic Bay Area legends with a modern production style and youthful energy. Their sound is rooted in razor-sharp riffing, fast-paced drumming, aggressive vocals, and the kind of relentless intensity associated with bands like Testament, Exodus, and Kreator.
The band was founded when guitarist/vocalist Emre Aube and guitarist Davy Galileo connected through their shared passion for heavy music and old-school thrash. Still very young when the project began, they quickly focused on writing original material that paid tribute to the genre’s roots while still feeling fresh and contemporary. Drummer Jacey Knecht joined early in the band’s development, helping shape their tight, aggressive rhythm section, while bassist Kyle O’Connor completed the lineup after later personnel changes.
Parabellum built a reputation through energetic live performances across California’s metal scene, earning attention for their stage presence and strong musicianship. Their rise accelerated as they began sharing stages with major thrash acts and appearing at high-profile events such as Thrash of the Titans in 2026, where they performed alongside legendary names from the genre.
Musically, Parabellum embraces the raw spirit of traditional thrash—rapid-fire riffs, pounding drums, and socially charged intensity—while incorporating modern heaviness and precision. Their releases, including Behold a Pale Horse, showcase a band determined to keep classic thrash alive for a new generation. Rather than merely recreating the past, Parabellum aims to expand the legacy of thrash metal with their own identity and uncompromising energy.
Today, Parabellum continues to establish itself as one of the promising new names in the American underground thrash scene, carrying forward the spirit of classic metal while forging its own path.
