RAVENOIR, a new formation of heretics centered around frontman Alesh AD, plays an uncompromising, yet technically challenging blend of black and death metal. Their irreverent debut „The Darkest Flame of Eternal Blasphemy“ will no doubt be a breath of fresh air for the black metal scene in Czech and Slovakia.
Apart from guitarist Alesh AD (ROOT), RAVENOIR's line-up is rounded out by Igor Hubík (ROOT) on bass, drummer Patrik Sas and guitarist Jakub Önslaughter Maděryč.
One of the guests featured on the band's first outing is Jiří BigBoss Valter (ROOT's frontman), who contributed lyrics to two songs and lent his unique voice and inimitable delivery to the Prologue to the album.
Another stellar guest is guitar legend Andy La Rocque of KING DIAMOND, whose guitar solo is featured on the title track.

Alesh AD, born Aleš Dostál, July 24, 1977 in Studénka, Czech Republic, is a respected Czech musician, guitarist, vocalist, songwriter, lyricist and producer, sometimes described as a multi-instrumentalist in the music press. Currently a resident of Brno, Alesh AD started his music career in his hometown of Studénka in the Czech Republics Northern Moravia and has been actively involved in the music scene since the turn of the 90s, initially as a member of black metal trio TERROR (1990-1996) while still in his early teens.
In the second half of the 90s, he joined dark metal legends ROOT (1996 - 1999, 2014 - present), who had achieved and still retain a cult following worldwide among fans and music critics alike. Alesh AD proved his worth as an talented musician and multi-instrumentalist through his eclectic solo projects GALLERY OF DEAD BATTERIES (1997-1998) and THE SQUIRM (1999-2015).
His prolific work shows that almost no musical style is foreign to him. Over the years of his varied music career, Alesh AD has been featured as a guest on a number of recordings released by associated acts, such as CALES, ENTRAILS, BIG BOSS and PROJEKTIL.
In 2020, Alesh AD laid a foundation stone of a new outfit RAVENOIR, whose output will land somewhere between black and death metal. Alesh AD remains active not only as a musician and songwriter, but he also found his calling in the literary arena when in 2017 he compiled an impressive book titled Dark Roots, which chronicles, with great attention to detail, the history of his home.
In all likelihood, Darks Roots is the largest and heaviest book ever published in the history of the Czech Republic.
