REVEL IN FLESH have unleashed another track from their new full-length album "Flesh For The Kult Of Death", scheduled for September 18th 2026 via War Anthem Records.
"Priest Of Flesh" is REVEL IN FLESH's homage dedicated to the Gods of British Steel, Judas Priest! Check it out here:
With "Flesh For The Kult Of Death", which introduces the band's revamped line-up, REVEL IN FLESH open a new chapter - one that simultaneously marks an uncompromising return to their roots. Moving beyond their recent releases, the band refocuses on the very essence that defined them from the start: dark, riff-driven Death Metal deeply rooted in the classic Swedish sound.
Inspired by the spirit of early albums like "Manifested Darkness" and "Death Kult Legions", "Flesh For The Kult Of Death" unleashes a massive blend of chainsaw guitars, morbid melodies and a sinister atmosphere that captivates the listener from the first note to the last. Yet, the band achieves far more than a mere nostalgic look back - REVEL IN FLESH combine the raw energy of their early days with the experience and songwriting skills of a band that has matured over the years.
Thematically, the album once again delves into the dark realms of death, cults and decay, underscoring the band’s uncompromising commitment to carrying the torch of classic Death Metal with authenticity and passion.
With "Flesh For The Kult Of Death", REVEL IN FLESH deliver their most steadfast declaration of devotion to traditional Death Metal to date - raw, dark, anthemic and brimming with unbridled energy. For fans of the band’s early era and devotees of classic Swedish Death Metal alike, this album represents a triumphant return to the darkness from which REVEL IN FLESH originally emerged.

BIOGRAPHY/LOGO

Formed in 2011 in Schwäbisch Gmünd, Germany, Revel in Flesh has established itself as one of the leading names in modern European old-school death metal. Founded by guitarist, bassist and vocalist Ralf "Haubersson" Hauber following the demise of his previous band Immortal Rites, Revel in Flesh was created as a tribute to the classic death metal sound of the late 1980s and early 1990s. Taking its name from the legendary Entombed song "Revel in Flesh," the band proudly embraces the traditions of Swedish death metal while blending them with melodic European influences and a distinctive songwriting identity.
The band's debut album, Deathevokation (2012), immediately attracted attention within the underground death metal scene for its crushing riffs, memorable melodies and authentic old-school production. Produced with the unmistakable spirit of the Stockholm sound, the album marked the beginning of a remarkably consistent recording career. It was followed by Manifested Darkness (2013), mixed and mastered by the legendary Dan Swanö, whose work further strengthened the band's powerful yet melodic approach.
Over the following years, Revel in Flesh continued to build an impressive catalogue with Death Kult Legions (2014), Emissary of All Plagues (2016) and The Hour of the Avenger (2019). Alongside their full-length albums, the band became well known for releasing numerous split EPs with respected acts such as Revolting, Wombbath, Temple of Void, Feral and Puteraeon, further cementing their reputation within the international old-school death metal community.
Lyrically, Revel in Flesh explores themes of death, war, horror, plague and apocalyptic destruction, perfectly matching their dark and aggressive musical style. Their sound combines the chainsaw guitar tone of classic Swedish death metal with memorable lead melodies, heavy grooves and relentless riffing, drawing comparisons to legendary bands such as Entombed, Dismember, Grave and Unleashed, while maintaining a recognizable identity of their own.
In 2024, Hauber announced that the existing lineup had disbanded, placing the band's future on hold. However, Revel in Flesh returned in 2025, and during 2026 Hauber assembled a completely renewed lineup featuring renowned Swedish musicians including Jonny Pettersson, Simon Abele and Erik Barthold. The revitalized band quickly began work on its long-awaited sixth studio album, Flesh for the Kult of Death, marking a new chapter in the band's history while remaining faithful to the uncompromising spirit that has defined Revel in Flesh since its inception.
Today, Revel in Flesh stands as one of Germany's premier representatives of contemporary old-school death metal, earning respect worldwide through uncompromising releases, a loyal international following known as the "Servants of the Deathkult," and an unwavering dedication to keeping the classic spirit of death metal alive.
