Sagittarius is joining the Wormholedeath family. The Polish heavy metal five-piece has signed with the label for their debut full-length, “Abomination of Mind,” out October 9th, 2026.

“Abomination of Mind” marks a heavier, more progressive turn for the band, built on unconventional song structures. Formed in 2019, Sagittarius spent their early years developing a sound rooted in classical songwriting fundamentals, filtered through their own vision. The band released the single “Entropy” and the EP “Collapse” in 2022, before signing to Wormholedeath to release their debut full-length, “Abomination of Mind,” in 2026.

Sagittarius is a heavy metal band from Wrocław, Poland, combining the foundations of traditional heavy metal with a progressively heavier and more adventurous approach to songwriting. Formed in 2019, the group spent its formative years developing a distinctive sound built around strong melodic ideas, powerful vocals, heavy riffing and a technically accomplished rhythm section.

The band's first substantial release arrived in October 2022 with the independent EP Collapse. Featuring the tracks “Knave”, “Liberate Me” and “Entropy”, the EP introduced Sagittarius as a band firmly rooted in classic heavy metal while already displaying an interest in pushing beyond the genre's conventional boundaries. Thrash-influenced riffing, technically demanding musicianship and more elaborate arrangements became important ingredients in their developing style.

Following Collapse, Sagittarius concentrated on writing and recording material for their first full-length album. During this period the band's musical direction continued to evolve, gradually becoming heavier and increasingly progressive without abandoning the strong melodic and anthemic qualities of their earlier material.

A major step forward came in August 2026 when Sagittarius signed with international label Wormholedeath for the release of their debut full-length album, Abomination of Mind. The signing was accompanied by the release of “Disaster Dawn”, offering the first glimpse of the band's new material.

Scheduled for release on October 9th, 2026, Abomination of Mind represents a significant development in the Sagittarius sound. The seven-track album explores a heavier and more progressive form of metal characterized by unconventional song structures, intricate arrangements and a modern approach while maintaining the band's foundation in traditional heavy metal songwriting.

The album features “Voice of Myst”, “Disaster Dawn”, the title track “Abomination of Mind”, “Dead Inside”, “Hangman”, “Malice” and “Quanta of Time”. With Abomination of Mind, Sagittarius move beyond the promising foundations established by Collapse and into a more ambitious phase of their career, balancing the direct power of classic heavy metal with progressive structures and a darker, heavier contemporary edge.

The current Sagittarius lineup consists of Marcin Komorowski on vocals, Artur Grzegorczyk on lead guitar, Adam Dziubiński on rhythm guitar, Marek Chłopicki on bass and Patryk Jacków on drums.
