German thrashers SPACE CHASER have revealed another song from their upcoming new album "Razorblade Bay", set for release on September 11th 2026 through Testimony Records.
A lyric visualiser for the track "Blade Serpents" is available here:
Frontman Leo Schacht states: "Good luck getting this hook out of your head. This song is about snake-like organisms that have exoskeletons made of conductive alloys and use lightning to hunt like bioelectric eels – and their charged whips even cut through metal. This merciless stomper leaves no skull uncracked. 'Blade Serpents' is a banger, as heavy as it gets, that crawls into your brain only to dissolve it, and to replace your grey matter with pure thrash metal."
SPACE CHASER's fourth studio album "Razorblade Bay" comes with everything that the discerning thrash metal gentleman might wish to hear these days: classic thrash riffing with a particular German leaning, and distant echoes of KREATOR, SODOM, and DESTRUCTION are always appreciated, yet there is also a dash of punk-ish energy and spirit as well as some speed metal bravado in their bespoke sonic garment. In short: in your face!
At this point, it shall be duly noted that this galactic battleship is co-piloted in the producer's seat by none other than Andy Brings of SODOM-fame.
SPACE CHASER are more than ready to jump into hyperspace with their new thrashing engine made by "Razorblade Bay" Inc. on Planet Berlin! Fasten your belt buckles and hold on tight for a furious ride into headbanging frenzy!

BIOGRAPHY/LOGO

Formed in Berlin, Germany, in 2011, Space Chaser is a thrash metal band that has established itself as one of the leading names in the new wave of European thrash. Drawing inspiration from classic Bay Area thrash legends while incorporating elements of speed metal and traditional heavy metal, the band has built a reputation for energetic songwriting, razor-sharp riffing, and explosive live performances.
The band released its first demo in 2012, followed by the Decapitron EP in 2013, which quickly attracted attention within the underground thrash scene. Their debut full-length album, Watch the Skies! (2014), showcased a youthful yet technically accomplished approach, combining relentless speed with memorable hooks. The album helped establish Space Chaser as one of Germany's most promising modern thrash acts.
Their sophomore effort, Dead Sun Rising (2016), displayed increased maturity in both songwriting and musicianship. While remaining firmly rooted in old-school thrash, the album expanded the band's sound with stronger melodies and more dynamic arrangements, earning praise from both critics and fans.
In 2018, Space Chaser collaborated with Dutch thrashers Distillator on a split release before revisiting their early material with the remixed Decapitron EP in 2020. The following year saw the release of Give Us Life (2021), an album that broadened the band's musical palette with more melodic influences while retaining the speed and aggression that defined their earlier work.
A significant lineup change occurred prior to the band's fourth studio album, Razorblade Bay (2026), when longtime vocalist Siegfried Rudzynski departed and guitarist Leo Schacht assumed lead vocal duties. The transition introduced a rougher vocal approach while preserving the band's trademark high-energy thrash sound. The album further demonstrated Space Chaser's willingness to evolve without abandoning their old-school roots.
Over the years, Space Chaser has toured extensively throughout Europe, sharing stages with numerous established acts in the thrash and heavy metal scenes. Their blend of classic influences, modern production, and relentless live energy has earned them a loyal international following and secured their place among Germany's strongest contemporary thrash metal bands.
