Spanish death/doom newcomers SUN OF THE DYING have released a new single called “When The Morning Came.” The song is featured on their upcoming second album, The Earth Is Silent, that’s due out from AOP Records on November 29th.
'When The Morning Came':
“This song talks about the End. It pictures a barren world, in silence, in peace, after mankind leads itself to its own destruction. A vast emptiness through a raging Doom Metal storm, with acoustic and jazzy elements. One of the sources of inspiration of this portrait of void and despair is the book "The Road", by Cormac McCarthy.” - SUN OF THE DYING
SUN OF THE DYING crafts a style of death and doom with its roots drawing influence from early acts like MY DYING BRIDE, PARADISE LOST and ANATHEMA, and adding a more modern sound inspired by the likes of SHAPE OF DESPAIR, AHAB and SWALLOW THE SUN.
SUN OF THE DYING began in 2013 as a side project between Casuso and Lavín from their main bands (APOCYNTHION and CRYSTALMOORS). In April of 2017, the band released their debut record, “The Roar of the Furious Sea,” with the mexican label Throats Productions, and after which they performed shows with OCELON, ADE, TRONO DE SANGRE, MALAMMAR and ATREXIAL and WOMB.
Now the SUN OF THE DYING returns with a breathtaking and ferocious follow up, The Earth Is Silent; a bleak and beautifully chaotic record of some of the best death/doom to come out of Spain in years.

SUN OF THE DYING Doom / Death Metal band from Madrid, with its roots planted in groups of the 90s like My Dying Bride, Paradise Lost or Anathema and influences of more current bands like Shape of Despair, Ahab or Swallow the Sun.
It begins in 2013 as a side project between Lavín and Casuso, from theyr bands Apocynthion and CrystalMoors. For several months it was taking shape until 2015, other components join the project: Diego Weser, David Muñoz, CNoir and Iván Sierra. Already with the complete group they decide at the end of that year to begin with the recording of their first work "The Roar of the Furious Sea", although before CNoir leaves the formation, entering in his place Roberto Rayo.
During the following months there are more changes between its components: Adrián MA fills the position of bass player and Eduardo Guilló singer. In 2017 José Yuste replaces Adrían MA on bass.
In April of 2017 they released "The Roar of the Furious Sea", recorded and mixed by the group itself and mastered by Fede Pájaro. The album is edited by the Mexican label Throats Productions, the cover is designed by Israel Pato and the Artwork is carried out by Tumulus and Crafts.
In 2017 and 2018 they perform several gigs with bands like Ocelon, ADE, Trono de Sangre, Malämmar, Atrexial, Survael or Womb.
In 2018 they take part on WOA Metal Battle reaching the finals, where although they can not win, they call attention to critics and audiences for their unusual proposal and intense staging. They recorded their second album in 2019 and they are preparing new shows.
