Flagstaff, AZ Black Metal Duo UNHOLY BAPTISM recently released debut album ...On the Precipice of the Ancient Abyss. Purchase and/or stream the album in its entirety at: https://unholybaptism.bandcamp.com/releases
...On the Precipice of the Ancient Abyss is heavily influenced by the early Norwegian black metal scene. Though the band has incorporated elements of doom, depressive and ambient black metal, this album was an homage to the pioneers of a genre - MAYHEM, BURZUM, SATYRICON, DARKTHRONE - and was intentionally written to be reminiscent of those early records. Lyrically, the album includes themes such as theistic Satanism, H.P. Lovecraft, depression and death.
