The release date of the of the debutalbum "Killing Time“ by the German Heavy Metal Band VERITATES on CD is January 17th, 2020. The pre-order phase will start on January 3rd, 2020 in Pure Steel Webshop.
VERITATES, a quartet from Cologne and Loerrach, are dedicated to traditional Power Metal without any clichés and a decent thrash edge. Strongly influenced by Iced Earth in the Matt Barlow era and early Kamelot, the debut album "Killing Time" offers just the right material for fans of the aforementioned target group.
Catchy structures with great hooks as in the title track often meet with a slightly complex, sweeping arrangement, for example in the 11-minute epic "Hangmen Also Die". On top of that, the guys have brought some guest musicians on board such as singer André Grieder and guitarist V.O. Pulver (both Poltergeist), Andreas Doetsch (Wolfen) or Shasank Venkat (Against Evil).
Noble Powerthrash of the highest quality; a true manifesto!

In the fall of 2018 Andreas von Lipinski, singer of the metal band Wolfen and Tom Winter, former guitarist of a local metal band, decided to start a project together. Tom Winter could play his old companion Jörg Belstler as bassist, and Andreas von Lipinski Marcus Kniep, the drummer of Grave Digger for the project.
Between November 2018 and May 2019 an album with cliché free, partly melancholic heavy metal.
The pounding riffs and quiet guitar parts of Tom Winter meet here on clear metal vocals with enthralling melodylines by Andreas
von Lipinski, which can also convince in the quieter passages on full line.
The lyrics and the music complement each other perfectly.
The seven original compositions and a Mike Oldfield cover, Discovery, have been refined by numerous guest musicians.
On the album you can hear:
Mario Stracuzzi - solo guitars
Andreas Lützeschwab - solo guitars
V.O. Pulver (Gurd/Poltergeist) - solo guitars
André Grieder (Poltergeist) - lead vocals
Shasank Venkat (Against Evil) - solo guitars
Andreas Doetsch (Wolfen) - solo guitars
