Avant-garde metallers VULTURE INDUSTRIES have named their forthcoming third album ’The Tower’. Here are the tracklisting and cover artwork of the Norwegian band’s Season of Mist debut, which will hit the stores on September 27th (October 1st in North America).

- The Tower
- Divine - Appalling
- The Hound
- Blood On The Trail
- The Dead Won't Mind
- A Knife Between Us
- The Pulse of Bliss
- Sleepwalkers
- Lost Among Liars
The artwork was designed by renowned artist Costin Chioreanu, who made the following comment: ”Working on the cover of the new VULTURE INDUSTRIES was more than an interesting experience. The stars aligned and suddenly I discovered the opportunity to create an imagery I had been dreaming about for years. ‘The Tower’ is a very complex, smart and sadly true story to which I could relate, so this great project ended up with more illustrations than originally intended. The theme was so complex and so well put into words and music that I simply could not resist it. Yes, there is a huge influence coming from the German expressionism, but expanded through my own ways of visual expression and improved with some elements specific to the visual and philosophical analysis of society. There is surrealism, expressionism, contemporary imagery, and even some ancient graphic visual inputs. All in all, ‘The Tower’ is a beautiful piece of art and I am extremely happy that I had the honor to illustrate it. It might sound "too much", but I think that, in many aspects, ‘The Tower’ is an extremely well done observation of the reality that surrounds us."
’The Tower’ will be released on Digipak CD, transparent green gatefold double LP, black gatefold double LP, and a bundle with an exclusive solid white gatefold double LP, the Digipak CD and a high quality, digital print of the artwork. The LP versions, as well as the digital edition, will include the bonus track ”Blood Don't Eliogabalus”. All physical formats are already available for pre-order on Season of Mist’s e-shop.

“Vulture Industries come across as complete oddballs. They are the mad hatter’s tea party irregulars with an “Alice In Wonderland” surrealist brand
of dark metal cabaret”
Terrorizer Magazine (Glasgow show review)
The progressive and experimental extreme metal band, Vulture Industries, is out with their 2nd album out on Dark Essence Records called The Malefactors Bloody Register. As with their debut, The Dystopia Journals, the album has received excellent reviews all over the European press. Among others we can mention 6/7 in Metal Hammer (de), 14/15 in Legacy Magazine (de), 8,5/10 in
Hard Rock Mag (fr), 5/6 in Metallian (fr) and 90/100 in Rock Tribune (BeNeLux).
As a live band, the band gets great reviews for their technical and tight performance, and they really stick out with the weird antics of vocalist Bjørnar Nilsen. The band has a unique and special sound, which is both very complex and also catchy and to the point. With a highly energetic live show and the manic performance of vocalist Bjørnar Nilsen, this is a band you won’t miss out on.
