Swiss hard rock veterans Krokus are back with what is their 17th studio album, as they can look back on a career reaching nearly fourty years back in time. On 'Dirty Dynamite' Krokus return with their original line up plus Mandy Meyers and the album also sees the band return to their roots musically. In the early stages of their career Krokus were often referred to as the little brother of AC/DC, and when you listen to 'Dirty dynamite' you can clearly hear that this reference is still valid. But then again you can also hear that the band have went even further back in time to gain inspiration from bands such as The Rolling Stones and The Beatles, and they have also included a different, but yet decent cover version of The Beatles classic track 'Help'. The album was by the way recorded in the legendary Abbey Road Studios in London. 'Dirty Dynamite' consist of a bunch of straight forward, blues based hard rock songs of high quality, nothing more and nothing less, but it's wrapped in a good and organic production and the bands performance is very convincing as well. Personally I would range 'Dirty dynamite' among the best Krokus albums ever, next to classics like 'Metal Rendezvous' and 'Change Of Address'. True hard rock will never die!
