Trollwar is a Canadian band, based in Quebec and 'Oath of The Storm' is their second full-lenght album. The album consist of 4 remastered songs from their 2017 EP 'The Traveller's Path' with refined orcestration, while the rest of the material are brand new songs. Trollwar's music can be described as a symphonic mixture of melodic death meal, folk metal and black metal, and parallels can easily be drawn...

Dermed...

I must admit that I had never even heard of Hatriot when I received this album, therefore I pushed the play button with absolutely no expectations at all and I didn't bother to read the press note either. Ten songs later I was sitting there with a huge smile on my face wondering what the hell just hit me. Then I discovered that Hatriot is the new band of...

Melodic death metal with a modern twist isn’t normally sorting on top on my wish list, so I must admit there was a great deal of skepticism involved as I pressed the play-button to hear Solution .45’s new creation. Solution .45 was founded by Miseration/Divinefire guitarist Jani Stefanovic in 2007 and since then members of bands like Scar Symmetry, Stratovarius, Mors Prinsipium Est and Sonata Arctica among others has...

Iron Maiden is one of those bands who never let their fans down, and the fact that they have always stayed true to their style and never moved too far away from the winning formula that captured the heavy metal hordes in the early stages of their carreer is probably the main reason that they are still around nearly 40 years later. It's been five years since the release...

It’s no secret that I’ve been a big fan of Aeternam since the release of their debut album ‘Disciples Of The Unseen’ back in 2010, and I still consider the ‘Moongod’ album among my favorite death metal albums of the last two decades. Their third album ‘Ruins Of Empire’ was a worthy follow up to ‘Moongod’ as well, so these guys have never released anything but pure quality. Therefore...

French tech death metallers Dysmorphic are back with the follow up to their ambitous 2013 debut 'A Nation Of Casuality', and you can immediately hear that they have taken a huge step forward on 'An Illusive Progress'. Dysmorphic's style is a mixture of  intricate technical death metal and elements of more brutal death metal, but they aren't afraid to step off the accellerator every now and then to make...
